are you talking about the teachers or the child? I rarely received a gift at the end of the year and I don't think it is necessary. If you gave something at the holidays, I think that is enough. If you wanted to do something you could get a $10 gift card to Barnes & Noble. I got that once and thought it was the best gift.

Usually the class "Mom" did a collection at christmas time for a class gift for the teacher. I can only remember once it happening at the end of the year.
