Super Fun 'N' Hip Mommies
We're an outgoing, active, down to earth, creative bunch of women, and we wanna have some fun with our kids!

We're open to all moms who are in search of a group that's unique, energetic and upbeat. We're always looking for new adventures, and we're not afraid to hop in our car & check out a new playground, restaurant, or local event in the Washington DC metro area! We are friendly, laid back, fun 'n' hip, and highly addictive! So we've been told!
We want you to come out and have fun with us too. If you happen to make new best-friends, then that's a bonus! We require active participation amongst our moms, and because the group is so large, you're pretty much guaranteed to always meet someone new at every event you attend!
All of our moms have two things in absolute common: we want to provide our children environments in which to thrive & grow, and we enjoy getting out of our house & doing things either with or without our children in tow!
Our play dates encourage our children to learn, explore, become creative, and to develop social skills. We provide our children with many different opportunities to do and see new things. The more varied the experiences that she has, the more she will learn about the world.
During our age appropriate activities (walks, playgrounds, libraries, zoos) we're helping:
- Their language skills by providing them many opportunities to talk, listen and use language to solve problems and learn about the world we live in,
- Their negotiating skills, (no, no, that's mine, gimme that)!!!
- To set high standards & encourage our children to try new things. Children who aren't encouraged become bored, unhappy & frustrated.
- View all our moms & their photos, by location, or by the age of their children.
- Get to know all the moms via our message board & our event photo albums.
- Download some freebies & get group discounts at various places we attend.
- We are open to moms of any age, and with all age groups of children, (but currently the 0-4 years old group are the most active participants).
- View our fantastic calendar that has multiple events DAILY, which we handpick, create, and attend. Each of our organizers host their own events every month, and that way our calendar stays fresh and varied. We put a lot of work into our calendar, and it's already planned out at least two months ahead!
- We remove moms who haven't logged on to the group, or attended an event in 60 - 90 days, so you can be guaranteed that the actual number of members (participating moms) on this group is FACTUALLY CORRECT!

This will take you all of about 5-10 minutes, I promise... and it will be worth it!
- Attend one event on our other group calendar HERE and meet with an organizer. You can also send us an email if none of our listed events will work out for you, and we'll send you some others via email to choose from. We realise that you maybe in a different location than where the current event is scheduled - however, the whole point of this group is that you actually don't mind going new places, so keep that in mind!
- After attending your first meeting, go home and log onto our "real group" here, and the organizer that you met with will approve your request!
- MAKE SURE YOU ALWAYS HAVE A photo of yourself, facing the camera - (we don't know who to look out for at events otherwise)!

Our group has been on meetup for just over one year, and we're always excited to meet new hip mommies! We're often imitated & copied by others, and we're flattered!!

After 30 days of being a member, (and deciding whether or not this is the group for you) we ask that you pay a yearly membership fee of $36. You can paypal it, or mail us a check!
