About Mommy and Me Of Kansas City North

Mommy and Me began in 1988 (we only started this on-line site 12/13/05) as a not-for-profit social & support group open to all moms and dads and their children from birth to pre-kindergarten.

Mommy and Me offers:

- A wide variety of activities.
- Monthly meetings
- Organized playgroups.
- Community Outreach support.
- 4 great holiday parties (Halloween, Christmas, Valentines and Easter)
- 2 very successful garage sales.
- Mom's (or Dad's) Night Out!
- and much, much more!!!

Through the years we have developed life long friendships, had loads of fun, sparked learning, and created special life long memories for parents and their children.

Activities
Activities are organized every month by moms (activity coordinators). Some activity examples are All Together Now, Library time, various tours, and Mercury Gymnastics. Activities are optional based on your interest and availability. Some activities do require a minor fee.

Monthly Meetings
Meetings are held at 10am on the 3rd Thursday of each month (except for December) at North Cross Methodist Church, 1321 Vivion Rd (not affiliated).
Meetings include kids (and sometime mom) friendly activities, door & raffle prizes, refreshments and a chance to meet with new and old friends. We encourage parents and children to attend. Monthly meetings are not required to be a member but it is a great way to meet a majority of the active members.

Playgroups
Playgroups are formed together by age. This is a great way for members to get better acquainted in a less formal setting. Playgroups can also build strong and lasting friendships.

Community Outreach
In 2000, Mommy and Me began lending our support to other not-for-profit organizations in different ways. Some examples include donations of canned goods for Harvester's, providing meals for the Ronald McDonald House, collecting school supplies for under privileged kids and donating various items to soldiers overseas just to name a few.

Organization
Mommy and Me receives its guidance from our members. Leadership positions are selected annually (April) for the positions of President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary, Newsletter Editor, Hospitality, Ways & Means, Activity Coordinator, Party Coordinator and Playgroup Coordinator. Many other volunteers add valuable support throughout the year. The members follow by-laws to make Mommy and Me the success that it has become.

Membership
Membership dues are $15.00 per year. To receive a registration form please email the organizer.
